What kind of personal data do we collect?

Your rights in relation to your personal data

Please note that not all these rights may apply to you under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012, and you may wish to seek independent legal advice on the rights that may apply to you.

If you wish to exercise any of these rights (if they apply to you), please email our Data Protection Officer (“DPO”) of EC Industrial Parts at DPO@ecip.sg with proof of your identity, along with the basis of your request and any supporting documents. We will endeavour to respond fully to your requests within one month of receipt of your request, or as such other time stipulated under the relevant data protection law or regulation.

 

Access to your personal data

 

  1. You have a right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, subject to such legal exceptions that may apply.

 

  1. Depending on the nature of the request, we may need to charge you a reasonable fee to cover the administrative costs of effecting your request.

  1. The consent that you provide for the collection, use or disclosure of your personal data will remain valid until it has been withdrawn by you in writing.

 

  1. You have the right to withdraw your consent to the collection, use or disclosure of personal data at any time. We will inform you accordingly of the legal consequences of us acceding to your withdrawal, which may include the complete cessation of our products and services to you.

 

  1. Depending on the circumstances, we may require a reasonable time in order to give effect to your request for the withdrawal of consent. This would include having to notify you of the legal consequences of your withdrawal of consent which may affect your rights and liabilities to us.

  1. You may ask us to restrict the processing of some or all of your personal data if there is a disagreement about its accuracy or we are not lawfully allowed to use it.

  1. You may ask us to delete some or all your personal data in certain cases. In most of these cases, we will anonymise that information, or remove the means by which the data can be associated with you, rather than delete it.

 

  1. Additionally, there may be applicable laws and regulations which require us not to delete such personal data, and we may continue to retain the personal data in accordance with such applicable laws and regulations.

 

Data portability option

 

  1. You may request for us to provide to another party a copy of your personal data that is subject to processing by EC Industrial Parts in a portable format or have it transferred directly from EC Industrial Parts to the other party.

 

  1. Depending on the nature of the request, we may need to charge you a reasonable fee to cover the administrative costs of effecting your request.

 

Objections to the processing of your personal data

 

  1. You may object to our processing of personal data for direct marketing purposes. If there is a valid basis for your objection, you may opt out of such direct marketing by informing our DPO in accordance with clause 24 above.

 

  1. You may also object to the processing of personal data where our lawful basis is (i) legitimate interests; or (ii) for statistical/research purposes. However, do take note that there may be applicable legal exceptions which may allow us to continue to use the personal data notwithstanding the objection made.

 

Automated decision making and profiling

 

  1. We generally do not perform automated decision making and profiling of individuals.

 

Making a complaint

Children’s personal data
